“Sometimes it’s important to be flexible and willing to change if internally we “know in our knower” it’s the right thing to do. We do our best when answering God’s call and begin to follow the path we feel is right at the moment. But there are times when the time has just come when we have to do something to keep moving in step with the call even if it means making a change.” Quote from, “Light from a Dark Night”
I wrote this because my husband and I were following a path of purpose to adopt a child but we came to a fork in the road. Many of you feel a call of purpose upon your life and have been faithful to follow the call. But, like us you might be at a junction where you can continue on as you have been or make a change which you know deep down is right.
Don’t think of it like, “Plan A didn’t work so now we move to Plan B”. This type of change is still Plan A. It’s just taking a different path than you thought it would. Paths of Purpose aren’t always straight like a ruler but meandering and flowing like a river.
Making a decision of any magnitude is worth contemplating and let’s face it: change is scary sometimes. But, if you know deep down you must change something to achieve the call within then take the leap of faith and do it.
